No matter what the situation, you always feel there is more power available, and that is very pleasing. From the point of view of road characteristics and handling, I think the M5 is quite simply perfect…the brakes are also outstanding; all in all I believe the M5 is the best M package that BMW has ever produced. A usual pointer to a 'driver' orientated car can be found in the racing drivers selection as their personal transport - often an M5 of any era!
