I fully agree with you, it depends on what you wanna do with your car. To use it on the race track you have to modify your car for sure. The way however you upgraded your car looks great (at least from looking the pics and reading the mags article). My 73 1/2 911T is an all original - but I'll give him some slight modifications over the winter.
I know that you guys in California are well known for creating your own style. Porsche isn't really my passion - I'm a VW bug afficionado
and in this scene the "CalLook" becomes more and more important to european Bug-drivers.
What I'm trying to say is... even if some of us (including myself, I prefer it genuine) are still having "problems" by the way you upgraded your car - it's possibly just a matter of time of having some kind of "CalLook" within the Porsche scene as well.
